Making your work accessible to everyone on the world wide web is a little like getting naked in front of a bunch of total strangers; it's an amazingly courageous thing and I commend you for doing it! I am overcome with anxiety when I hand in a paper for my teacher's eyes ONLY.

As far as my fears are concerned, losing loved ones is the most obvious answer. Other than that, there are so many things I'm afraid of that it's hard for me to narrow it down to just one. So here are the few things I'm most afraid of, with a brief explanation for #1 (the rest are really self-explanatory):

1) Never finding the love of my life - call me a cheesy, romantic sap, but at the end of the day, I think that love is the most important thing in the world; specifically, the love you GIVE. The thought of never finding that special person with whom I have a deep connection and never being able to show my love for that person saddens me more than anything. Of all the possible circumstances resulting from my worst fears coming true, ending up alone sounds the like the absolute worst to me. In other words, if all of my fears EXCEPT for #1 came true, life would probably still be bearable.
2) Failure
3) Rejection
4) Looking stupid in front of people
5) Never feeling truly content
6) Paralysis

Call me peculiar, but I fear all of these things more than death.

It's exactly like standing naked in front of the world...that's a great way to put it. Death is either a number one fear for people or it doesn't come out at all. It's interesting that you say losing a loved one is up at the top, but death is not. Is that your own death?

Great response. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, losing loved ones scares me more than my own death.

Great insights and interpretations. Naming your fears is the first step to conquering them.
